Homeless

Lights go down on this cardboard town and I am walking home. Cans of fire and a round of sympathy; the sidewalk is no home. For those of you who know, I have been here before and I climbed up off this floor; right up off this floor

And maybe I should be more giving cause I know where you've been. But not one dollar that ever hit my pocket helped me out of there. For those of you who know, I have been here before and I climbed up off this floor; right up off this floor

Don't make that face at me cause I've already gave what's been given me. Lord I'm not the first to leave these streets but I still do feel them when I'm kneeling down to those at my feet.

Lights go down on this cardboard town. Thank God I have a home. The lights grow brighter when I close my eyes. So much for being alone. For those of you who know, I have been here before and I climbed up off this floor; right up off this floor

Chorus
